A couple of days ago someone told me that I was savvy.
I really like that word.
Me? Savvy? I’ll take it!
But I really like that they told me I was savvy even better.
Savvy: “knowledgeable, practical understanding, shrewd, intelligence.”
I’ve never been told I was savvy before, and it made me feel really good when she told me. I immediately straightening my shoulders. My face relaxed. My mouth turned upward into the hugest smile. When someone tells us something positive about us, it just makes for a brighter day, yes?
Who can you compliment today? I mean…like a really, really sincere compliment.
Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good word makes it glad. Proverbs 12:25
Notice something here. This scripture really doesn’t tell us “who” the good word makes glad. Is it the one giving the good word? Or is it the one receiving a good word?
Yes… #seewhatIdidthere? Whether you’re the one giving or whether you’re the one receiving the compliment, it makes for a happy heart.
