Oh Kimono | How I love thee..

12
I must admit, it took me a while to warm up to this little beauty of a trend. I finally did though and I’ve gotta say I’m just itching to add more to my closet.  The kimono has got to be one of the easiest, most flattering ways to re-vamp your wardrobe; plus it’s a great update to the classic cardigan. And yes ladies, you can totally even rock the look in your 40’s and beyond.  So just DO IT.

I love everything about this ensemble. Not only is it a great transition outfit from summer to fall, it’s chic and trendy; and it’s built with pieces you probably already have in your closet. Grab some skinny’s, that basic white tee, cognac booties and BOOM you have your outfit.

And this! Oh my!! This is so modern and edgy yet it SCREAMS comfort! I love when I find amazing outfits that are oh so comfortable! I went back and forth on the color of bag for this look. Neutral or cobalt? I like the pop of color with cobalt, but honestly with the color heaviness of the kimono I don’t think it really needs another pop of color. I ended up going with neutral because I felt it added a touch of class. Plus, it’s Kate Spade; and what can really go wrong with Kate Spade??

The above are just options on ways you can style a kimono. I love how designers and brands are totally jumping on this bandwagon and coming out with different fabrics and textiles to choose from.

So, for those of you that are a little “shy” about this trend-  JUST DO IT. Not wanting to spend a lot of money right now? Go to forever 21, find one and then wear it in place of a cardigan. It’s that simple.

Have the perfect weekend, okay?

I love you

I love these looks! However, every time I try to buy one I just can’t. I feel like it makes me look bigger than I am, and right now I don’t need that. I guess I should continue the search because these two above are adorable!
